1. Who we are

This website and the Cortex software are operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] (ABN [ABN]) of [BUSINESS ADDRESS]. You can reach us at [CONTACT EMAIL] or through our Discord server.

In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean [LEGAL ENTITY NAME]. “You” means the person using the site or holding a licence.

2. What you are buying

You are buying a time-limited licence to use the software, not the software itself and not any ownership of it. A licence is issued as a key. When you redeem a key it is permanently bound to the Discord account and the Macho Authentication Key you redeem it with.

Your licence lasts for the duration shown on the product at the time of purchase. When it expires, your access stops.

3. Your account

You need a Discord account to buy and to redeem. You are responsible for keeping that account secure. We treat actions taken through your account as taken by you.

You must set a Macho Authentication Key once. It cannot be changed afterwards. This pairing is what stops your licence being used by anyone else.

4. What you may not do

You may not:

• share, resell, sublicense, rent or transfer your key or your access to anyone else;
• attempt to defeat, bypass or tamper with the licensing system;
• reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software, except where that right cannot lawfully be excluded;
• use the software to harm, harass or defraud anyone;
• use the software in any way that breaks the law where you are, or that breaches the terms of any third-party service you use it with.

Third-party platforms and games have their own terms. Using our software with them may breach those terms, and any consequence of that — including suspension or a permanent ban of your account on that platform — is your responsibility, not ours. You should satisfy yourself that your use is permitted before you buy.

5. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or revoke a licence without refund if you breach these terms, in particular if you share or resell a key or interfere with the licensing system. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why.

6. Availability

We provide the software and this site on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with any particular setup, or that it will continue to work with any third-party software or game after that third party changes it.

7. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Where our liability can be limited, it is limited, at our option, to resupplying the software or paying the cost of resupply.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of data, or loss arising from action taken against you by a third-party platform. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in Australian dollars (AUD). Payment is arranged separately through our Discord server. We do not collect or store card details on this site.

We may change prices at any time. A price change does not affect a licence you have already bought.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The “last updated” date at the top shows when. If a change is significant we will make a reasonable effort to tell you. Continuing to use the software after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE/TERRITORY], Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that place.
